Dear Utah,
Please don't send me nasty letters because you can't figure out that my car is now insured in Idaho and therefore you believe I have no insurance. I have lived in more than one state and Big Brother didn't operate in any of them - until now. I signed my registration saying I'd provide insurance, and I do. I hope to get my license plates out of your state as soon as possible, believe me. I don't want people to think I actually live there. You suck.
Dear Idaho,
When you put information out on your DMV website, please make sure it's accurate! Don't tell me to simply bring the name and address of the bank I have my Ford financed through and I can license my vehicle - when, in fact, all you're going to do is HAND ME A DAMN FORM I HAVE TO SEND TO THE BANK SO THAT YOU CAN GET YOUR HANDS ON THE TITLE before I can license my car. I love you, but your website sucks. Had I known this, I would have brought the OTHER car, the one I DO have a title to and gotten it taken care of while simply picking up the form for the Ford. Now, I had to come all the way home and need to go all the way back. And I'm really not in the mood for you to waste another hour of my day.
That is all.

Only In Utah
Both of the following things occurred naturally in Utah.

Dear God, let my people go.
More update later, but things actually went well with Dad's investigative surgery (not at all invasive) and he'll be back in a couple of weeks to get things taken care of. If you saw my irritated, no, make that very angry rant I posted Friday, I took it down later that night because he came to his senses and did what the doctors told him to do...men...especially of that variety (i.e. irrational) drive me crazy. Big Bit is right, Grandpa and Little Bit are exactly alike. Which is scary.
Now, on to the fun photo fact Big Bit took last night at the grocery store. Only in Utah would this sign be posed next to a stack of Corona. 'Cause that way you couldn't tell your Stake President that you had NO IDEA THERE WAS ALCOHOL IN IT.

Dear God, let my people go.

The top 50 meme
Because I steal good meme's from Sideon - I got this one. Enjoy at your own risk.
The catchup post is still pending. I found out yesterday Sibyl is resigning and I'm digesting what this means to my future. It may mean I leave Utah sooner than expected, oddly enough. The future may, indeed, be dark for staying.
1. What do you add to your coffee?
I only drink frou frou coffee. Sugarfree Hazelnut Lattes. I like The Husband’s made at home, but I love Starbucks.
2. What are you reading now?
Valerie Bertinelli’s book (I used to love her, but after reading this I’m not so sure), a biography of Martin Luther (a rebel in his own time!), and a biography of Natalie Wood. I’m in a weird place mentally I guess.
3. Do you own a gun?
The Husband does, but I finally pursuaded him to put everything where Little Bit doesn’t know it exists.
4. Are you registered to vote?
Not in Utah. But I will be by the Presidential Election. Not that it will make a whole lot of difference in this state, mind you.
5. Do you get nervous before doctor appointments?
Hell yeah.
6. What do you think of hot dogs?
I will only eat them at Candlestick Park in San Francisco. Or whatever they’re calling it these days.
7. Favorite Christmas Song?
Religious – Joy to the World; not religious – All I Want For Christmas Is You (not the Mariah Carey version, but the one in Love Actually).
8. What do you prefer to drink in the morning?
Lattes or Diet Pepsi
9. Can you do push ups?
I could do around 100 in high school. Probably 20 now. Must start working out.
10. What was the name of your first boyfriend/girlfriend?
Hm….REAL boyfriend? James. Mormon. Now has 5 kids. Long story.
11. What’s your favorite piece of jewelry?
A tie between my maternal grandmother’s engagement ring (now I guess around 80 years old) and my own engagement ring.
12. Favorite hobby?
Reading. Reading. Reading. My grandmothers would be proud.
13. Do you work with people who idolize you?
Hell No. Nor should they.
14. Do you have ADD?
Oddly, after Little Bit was diagnosed, I looked closely at my behavior as a child and yes, I think I do/did. But, being a girl, I also cared more about what people thought and that helped me a bit.
15. What’s one trait that you hate about yourself?
Temper.
16. What’s your middle name?
Renee
17. Name 3 thoughts at this exact moment.
I wish I had hit the lottery this weekend. I wish The Husband would win the Golden Mallet tournament (more on this later). I wish I hadn’t been so stupid as to buy tickets to Eddie Money and the Police on the same day so I had to give the Eddie Money tickets away. GRRRR.
18. Name 3 things you bought yesterday.
Diet Pepsi. Little Bit’s baseball fees for this year. Gasoline (ouch).

32. What songs do you sing in the shower?
No singing.

Since I have two boys, I really can’t answer this.

Uno.
43. Does anyone have (had) a crush on you?
Funnily enough, the oldest guy in my graduating class (WHO WAS 19 and a Senior – he could buy beer!) He did, we finally kind of dated once I got in Junior College. It was the funniest damn thing, because he was totally gorgeous and totally stupid. It lasted 5 minutes, but I have pictures to prove how hot he was.
44. What are the most fun things you ever did?
Hm. Disneyland with my kids and TH, and seeing Big Ben for the first time. Goose bumps.

Snickers.
47. Favorite Team?
Oh please, let’s not even begin to guess at this one. I believe it's obvious.

Hey, Look What I Got In The Mail Today
After over six weeks of waiting. I want to wear it to drop Little Bit off at Scouts tonight, but I'm afraid the nice Brother and Sister who are his Scoutmasters will kill me.
Yes, We Can.
